Company's Safety & Mission Policy
In the interest of employee safety we have implemented an Illness and Injury Prevention Program, a Hazard Communication Program, a Labor-Management Safety Committee, a Fire Prevention & Emergency Action Plan and a Fall Protection Plan. We also have implemented a COVID-19 Policy and Prevention Plan as well as a Silica safety program. We follow guidance set forth by OSHA and work daily to keep in compliance with the OSHA Regulations. Our goal is to reduce the number of injuries, and strive to eliminate Injuries altogether.
The Injury and Illness Prevention Program was created to identify, evaluate, and prevent workplace hazards.
The purpose of the Hazard Communication Program is to ensure that employees are made aware of the hazardous properties of the materials (MSDS- Material Safety Data Sheets) with which they work, their safe handling procedures and measures to take to protect themselves from these hazards.
The role of the Labor-Management Safety Committee is to promote safety at Orange County Erectors, Inc. and improve communication on safety issues.
The Fire Prevention & Emergency Action Plan was created to protect the lives and physical safety of employees in the event of an emergency.
The Fall Protection Plan was created to protect Ironworkers from falls when they are working at heights in excess of 30 feet.
The single most important and effective person in our efforts to reduce on the job injuries is you. Remember that negligence on your part, or that of a fellow employee, could result in an injury to you and others.
For this reason we request that all employees immediately report any unsafe conditions and/or procedures to their supervisor or the company Injury and Illness Prevention Program administrator.
Think about your own safety and well-being as well as that of your fellow employees. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with these important safety programs.
We have a dedicated Safety Director and Field Safety Manager to implement our Health & Safety Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
We are committed to the overall safety of our employee's, project teams, subcontractors, all site visitors, and the community in which we work.
Our safety goal is to prevent, remove, and / or mitigate as many (if not all) unsafe incidents before they occur.
However, when and if an incident does occur we respond, quickly, accordingly, in order to rectify the situation.
