About the Project:
This project included the fabrication and erection of 5 office buildings (over 650,000 square feet of office space) and 2 central-plants at the Toyota Motor Sales Corporate Campus in Torrance.
Orange County Erectors fabricated and erected 2,300 tons of steel on an accelerated schedule.
New construction techniques used on this project included the use of a patented rebar fusion technique and a new method of spandrel construction.
In addition, the general contractor and subcontractors on the jobsite successfully applied to have the project recognized in the Cal/OSHA VPP safety program.
As a result of the project, Turner Construction Company awarded Orange County Erectors, Inc. their “Award of Excellence” in appreciation of outstanding service.
